Vintage Lenses on a Digital Camera

Why I decided to use vintage Lenses on a Digital Camera

Basically the reason why i like using vintage lenses on my medium format Fujifilm GFX camera is I believe the vintage lenses have their own quirks, that new lenses don’t have. Don’t take me wrong GFX lenses are exceptionally good, they are sharp and full of contrast and almost perfect and here is where the problem lays for me. I normally do Landscape and Illustrative photography for this the GFX lenses are my lenses of choice.

But, when I just want to have fun, take photos of my kids and just enjoy photography the vintage lenses offer so much more. From the manual focusing to the vignettes and sometimes the crazy bokeh. They are a lot of fun.

Mirrorless cameras makes using vintage lenses a joy, they have many aids like IBIS, Focus peaking and zoom to focus in the EVF. They are plenty of adapters in the market to pretty much any mount.

I moved into mirrorless in 2020, the pandemic has limit the amount of places and my time for trying this lenses in different scenarios, whoever here are some photos that I have taken of my kids and as time goes by i will keep updating this gallery and adding some different photos.
