In 2005, Federico Rekowski discovered photography. However, it wasn’t until 2014 that he realized the profound potential of this instrument beyond capturing mere aesthetics. The discovery of this new world through the lens was exciting and fresh, yet he felt he had more to convey to the viewer than just the beauty of nature. His desire was to challenge the viewer, guiding them on a journey through visual narratives that evoked emotions.

Rekowski found his voice in photography, and this exploration transformed the way he perceived the world. An appetite to challenge his creativity and push boundaries, especially in post-production, opened up new worlds. Here, he could blend reality, creating surreal worlds and dynamic abstract compositions through various techniques to craft his artistic narrative.

His journey garnered global recognition as a member of the Australian team at the World Photography Cup in 2021 and 2022. His creative prowess also earned him the photography prize at the Fisher Ghost Prize hosted by the Campbelltown Arts Centre. In addition to these achievements, Federico has been acknowledged in prestigious competitions such as the Head On Photo Awards and Sony World Photo Awards, solidifying his status as an emerging figure in the world of photography.

As a photographer, he is always in pursuit of the perfect composition to capture fleeting moments. Transforming into an artist in post-production, Federico employs techniques that evoke mood, emotion, curiosity, and awareness. His unique narrative approach invites viewers on a visual journey that transcends conventional beauty.
